2012 is shaping up as an interesting year in our home state of Victoria and beyond. Some dates for diaries:

With fossil fuels still set to play an important part in meeting demand for energy in Victoria and beyond, can carbon capture and storage technologies live up to their promise of providing a crucial carbon-mitigation technology? Here’s one we’d hoped to attend, but it wasn’t to be. CIWEM look to have put together a very useful program, with many presentations dealing with the sorts of issues Australian water sectors are grappling with – alternative sources of supply, water-sensitive urban design, water resilience for cities.
