Over the first four years of the company’s operation, we have maintained our strong focus on and depth of expertise and experience in professional ethics, governance, executive development and policy & strategy development.

Ethics training

Tailored Programs. We develop and deliver comprehensive, tailored ethical decision-making training programs for organisations.

Lightly-tailored, ‘off-the-shelf’ programs. We also offer short sessions for groups which are not developed specifically for that group, but are relevant across the public sector.  Sessions with a duration of two hours, half a day or one day are currently offered. These sessions:

  • provide a meaningful framework for examining ethical issues
  • give participants an opportunity to apply the framework to decision-making, using relevant, realistic ethical problems
  • use powerful contemporary case-studies to illustrate the consequences for organisations of poor ethical decision-making.

Governance reviews and advice

We provide advice on governance arrangements for new and re-organised public sector organisations, and undertake reviews of existing governance arrangements. This is an area in which we have developed extensive expertise, particularly around the new models of public sector governance models emerging overseas, and their potential application in the Australian context.

Executive development & mentoring

Mike Scrafton offers individual mentoring and leadership advice to executives at all levels. To offer value to his clients, Mike  draws on his wide and varied senior management experience in the public sector at the state and federal levels, as well as a foundation of high-quality professional development in leadership and management.

We also partner with others to provide services in this area. On an ongoing basis we work with Hardy Group International as part of the team delivering their very successful HGI Executive Learning Sets.

Strategy & policy development

We bring an effective set of policy development skills - that includes consideration of risk and implementation. We have an extensive strategic policy development track-record in the areas of climate change, environment and sustainability, defence and intelligence.

We also partner with others to provide these services, including with The Nous Group.
